SportsShare works with a number of different partners to promote races and conferences.

Epilepsy Action Bradford 10k

Rawdon-based charity, Epilepsy Action, have since 2009 superbly organised one of Yorkshire’s leading city-centre 10k races, one which gets top-ten rankings by participants in leading athletics magazines. It is a perfect PB course and the men’s course record stands at 31min 2sec by Bradford-Airedale’s Tesfaye Debele. Starting and finishing at Bradford’s City Hall, it goes out via the historic Little Germany district before a flat run along Canal Road out to Shipley and back. Airedale Athletics clubs provide forty marshals to cheer on the 1000-plus runners.

Bradford City Runs

SportsShare has teamed up since 2013 with the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council and a range of other partners, including the local athletics community, two leading charities who are actively involved in race organisation, and the education community, to put on an innovative three-in-one series of city-centre races centred on Bradford’s City Park..

BAN Junior Fell and Trail League

A dozen events each year form a league for runners from under-10s to under-16s.

Conferences

In January 2016, Sportsshare with the University of Bradford Athletic Union put on a conference in Bradford entitled Building a Business Case for Sport.

The 2010 conference in Keighley was a high-profile conference included international guests as well as local expertise on training, coaching, and sports marketing, and more. Keynote speakers for 2010 included Filbert Bayi and David Hemery CBE.

Bradford Sports Awards

The inaugural Bradford Sports Awards, sponsored by Provident, will take place at The Bradford Hotel on Thursday 25th February 2016. Eighteen awards across five categories will recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals, teams and volunteers at every level of sport in Bradford. The event will be a ticketed Dinner hosted by BBC Sports Presenter Tanya Arnold.

Tickets are priced at just £35 +VAT whilst VIP tickets are also available for £45 +VAT. Tables seating ten people can also be purchased. All tickets include a three course dinner and access to the event. Follow these links to book your place: Tickets and VIP Tickets.
